Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of hangmanlab.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What you can do
- Play every game as often as you like, at home, at school or anywhere else.
- Print, photocopy and hand out our worksheets and answer keys for personal, family, classroom, tutoring and homeschool use, including in paid tutoring sessions.
- Display the game on a classroom screen or projector.
- Link to any page. You don't need to ask.
What you can't do
- Sell our worksheets, word lists or images, or include them in a product you sell (a workbook, an app, a printable bundle), without written permission.
- Re-host the files on another website or upload them to a marketplace. Link to the page instead.
- Copy the site's text, lists or code in bulk, or scrape it automatically.
- Use the share tools to send abusive, hateful or unlawful content. A share link carries whatever its maker typed; we don't see or check it.
For any other use, such as publishing a worksheet in a book or newsletter, email us and we'll usually say yes.
Licence for images and printables
The printable worksheets, answer keys and preview images are © Hangman Lab. They are licensed for the free uses listed above. That is the licence referred to in the image information search engines show.
Word lists and sources
The Dolch sight word lists are in the public domain. Our other lists are built from open data sources described on how we pick our words. We check them carefully, but lists can contain mistakes; tell us if you find one.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Teachers should review any list before using it with a class.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Hangman Lab is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
